Growing up in the foothills of the Dublin mountains Danny was exposed to art counterculture from day one. In the 70′s and early 80′s his dad was the man in Ireland for custom paint jobs on hot rods and bikes. From an early age Danny would help out on weekends and summer holidays. Later Danny trained as a bespoke picture framer, working for some of Ireland’s top artists and photographers.
Danny began a body piercing apprenticeship and in 2000 moved to Australia. He worked at Kaleidoscope Tattoo in Bondi and met mentor and friend Claudio Benvenuti. Meeting Claudio was a catalyst for change and Danny started drawing again, with the goal of becoming a tattooist.
A couple of years later Danny moved to London and started working at Angelic hell, which went on to be known as Frith St. Tattoo. It was at the Frith Street shop Danny began tattooing under Nikole Lowe and Thomas Hooper, and alongside too many artists to name.
After nearly five years in Soho, Danny moved shops to New Skool Tattoo in Surrey… that was his country nest for just over a year and was really good as the slower pace gave Danny time to focus on his work and concentrate on his mixed tribal and traditional styles.
